We are pioneer in making Sankheda Furniture popular internationally. We started exporting furniture wayback in 1978 without any government assistance. The firm is managed by well experienced personalities. One of the partner Mr. Indravadan Baxi started his carrier in year 1949 in wholesale business of medicines & turned into Sankheda Furniture business in 1978.
About Sankheda Furniture :
Sankheda - a small town in Gujarat is famous for Sankheda furnitures.
Tin is hammered by giving special treatment and made to tin-loaf which when required, disolved in water to make liquified tin for painting. Raw lac is boiled to purify and colour is added to make sticks. Shaped teakwood is painted by this liquified tin and coated by coloured lac. The whole process of manufacturing is done by hand.
There are not only wooden handicrafts but are also a reproduction of old art of more than 400 years. Decorated items show golden string paintings after coated by lacquer. The products are very attractive due to the lustre of lacquer in eye-catching colours.
